Tamarack Camps, established by the Fresh Air Society, builds a vibrant community by providing enriching Jewish camping experiences for children and families, respectful of financial ability. Tamarack Camps is more than a camp – we are your home, your community. Through a wide-range of special overnight programs, including Camp Maas, Teen Travel Trips, Outpost Camps and Family Camps, we offer enriching life-changing experiences. Programs include:

  • Camp Maas: Located on 1,100 forested acres and with two sparkling lakes in Ortonville, Michigan, Camp Maas is uniquely designed for children and teens entering 2nd-9th grades. Our programs combine wonderful activities with outdoor adventure, Jewish culture, excellent facilities, and of course, lots of fun!
  • Camp Kennedy: Campers entering 10th grade enjoy a true Outpost Experience living at Camp Kennedy (Michigan’s Upper Peninsula). The experience offers wonderfully private and beautiful base camp where teens embark on two trips: one four-day backpacking trip and one four-day canoeing trip.
  • Ultimate Agree: Ultimate Agree is a six-week, co-ed program for entering 10th and 11th graders who spend a summer with a tight community of adventurous campers. This program offers a summer of innovative leadership and adventure challenges, and brings campers face to face with the Canadian wilderness. Campers will hike through beautiful forests, swim in waterfalls, canoe through rushing rivers, and experience some of the highest cliffs in northern Ontario. Base camp is the Agree Outpost Camp just outside of Wawa, Ontario.
  • Travel Trips: Teens can embark on the adventure of a lifetimes through travel trips including the Western Trip (open to entering 10th graders), Alaska trip (entering 11th graders), and the Teen Mission to Israel (grades 9-12).
