USY empowers Jewish youth to develop friendships, leadership skills, a sense of belonging to the Jewish people, a deep engagement with and love for Israel, and commitment to inspired Jewish living through meaningful and fun experiences based on the ideology of Conservative Judaism. USY offers several domestic travel trips over the summer. Programs include:
- “Classic” USY on Wheels: Travel coast to coast on this six-and-a-half week adventure for teens in grades 9-11! Meet the famous mouse in Disneyland. Watch the sunrise over the Grand Canyon. Eat your way through Hershey’s Chocolate World. View the historic Mount Rushmore. Stroll down the Santa Monica Pier. Rock out at the Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Discover a rainbow of natural phenomena in the blue and yellow waters of the Caldera in Yellowstone National Park.
- TivnUSY: Join USY and Tivnu: Building Justice to make an incredible impact on the lives of others! Over the course of two amazing weeks, Tivnu and USY’s construction coaches, educators, and guides will help 9th-12th graders build tiny house communities, implement sustainable urban agriculture projects, and more. The program takes place in Portland, Oregon, one of the world’s coolest cities, so you’ll also enjoy amazing Pacific Northwest adventures.
- USY on Wheels- East: 7th and 8th graders are invited to see the best of the East Coast on this month-long summertime adventure. Discover your inner wizard with Harry Potter at Universal Studios. Try unique soda flavors at The World of Coca-Cola. Put your sticks up at the Hockey Hall of Fame. Fall in love with America’s favorite pastime at Fenway Park. Experience the magnitude of Niagara Falls and the Great Smoky Mountains. Relax beneath the breezy Savannah trees. Sled down the sands of Jockey’s Ridge.
- USY on Wheels- Pacific Northwest: Teens in grades 8-11 are invited to explore the majestic beauty of the Pacific Northwest on this three-week adventure. View Seattle from above at the top of the Space Needle. Shop your way through over 100 years of history at Pike Place Market. See the bluest water in the world at Banff National Park, the most colorful pools in Yellowstone National Park, and the glacier-carved peaks at Glacier National Park. Experience the most unforgettable sunrise at Crater Lake National Parker. Lose yourself among the trees on the Capilano Suspension Bridge.
