At URJ’s Camp George, located in Seguin, Ontario, Jewish youth from all over Canada and the United States participate in a unique camping experience, forge life-long friendships, and experience a truly transformative Jewish experience. Programs include:

  • Kochavim: In Kochavim, campers entering 7th and 8th grades have fun participating in all that camp has to offer and begin to develop leadership skills that can be used both at camp and beyond. Campers get to experience Chugim (a personalized option period each day), day hikes, an outdoor overnight experience, and are involved in the camp musical.
  • Barak: In Barark, campers entering 9th and 10th grades participate in unique experiences that focus both on the cabin group and the camper unit as a whole. Leadership and role modeling, as well as ruach (spirit) are important while campers enjoy Chugim (a personalized option period each day) and opportunities like a multi-day canoe and hiking trip in Algonquin Park.
  • Counselor in Training (CIT): The CIT program, designed for teens entering 11th and 12th grades, is a specialized leadership training program specifically crafted to train our future leaders in camp. CITs develop skills in child management, Jewish programming, and experiential education.
