NFTY Israel is an epic journey through the story of the Jewish people! NFTY Israel offers multiple different Israel trips based on interests such as social justice or sports, as well as opportunities to travel with your URJ camp. Teens do not need to be NFTY members to attend NFTY in Israel trips. Trip options include:
- Adventure Israel: Make friends and be part of an immersive traveling Jewish community as you explore ancient Jerusalem and modern Tel Aviv, the beautiful Galilee and the stunning Negev Desert. The Adventure program is a unique and challenging four week summer experience (also offered as Adventure 2.0 for a 3.5 week experience) created especially for teens who seek a meaningful and exciting journey to Israel filled with amazing memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
- Chalutzim Ba’aretz- Hebrew Immersion: Chalutzim Ba’aretz is a unique, traveling Jewish community, immersing you in the language of the land as you explore ancient Jerusalem and modern Tel Aviv, the beautiful Galilee and the stunning Negev Desert. This exciting 3.5 week summer experience was created especially for teens who want to do more than just practice Hebrew. Unleash your language skills to converse and collaborate, debate and discover. You’ll finish your meaningful and exciting journey to Israel with new confidence, amazing memories, and friendships that will last a lifetime.
- Mitzvah Corps Israel: Together with friends from around the country and Habonim Dror North America teens, create and be part of an immersive traveling Jewish community. Experience Israel off-the-grid. Engage with refugees from Syria and Sudan. Meet with people of all faiths and ethnic identities. Snorkel in the Red Sea. Feel the spiritual energy of Tzfat. Sleep under the desert stars. Be part of a kibbutz community. Learn and practice Hebrew. Hike in the mountains and float in the Dead Sea. Support integration of Ethiopian immigrants. Find the beauty in Israel’s complexities.
- Sci-Tech Israel: Sci-Tech Israel offers teens a hands-on learning experience in Israel – a living laboratory where science and technology meet the Jewish past, present, and future. Israel is home to many different faces, voices, and stories, as well as individuals and organizations, that have shaped the science and technology landscape of Israel and the entire world. From the invention of instant messaging, to pioneering the Intel chip, to medical treatments for Parkinson’s disease, Israeli contributions can be seen in every corner of our society.
- Sports Israel: Sports Israel offers teens the opportunity to combine their passion for sport, travel and Judaism in one place: on a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Israel. Train and learn with professional athletes and top-level coaches from across the Israeli sports world. Compete in familiar and new sports alongside Israeli peers, sharing each other’s cultures and growing from your experiences together. Practice skills such as leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship for your life on and off the field.
